Mandate
ECCIM serves to recommend policy to the General Convention and Executive Council, raising concerns of Native Americans:
1. helping the church respond to the spiritual needs of Indian people;
2. helping the church to combat racism as it uniquely affects Native Americans;
3. helping the church to respond to the violation of treaty rights;
4. and helping the church find a way to fund Indian ministries.
Membership of 13, 4 of whom are the Bishops of Alaska, Navajoland, North Dakota and South Dakota. Appointed by the Presiding Officers, 6 year term, staggered.
